Theses and lab rotation projects may be started in the Barthels lab with the following methodological emphases (and combinations thereof):
- Organic synthesis of RNA-modification inhibitors
- Molecular assay development & drug screenings
- Biomolecular spectroscopy to investigate RNA structure and dynamics
- Development of chemical and computer-based tools for MedChem
Pharmacists, chemists, biochemists, and biologists are welcome as Master, Bachelor, and internship students. You should bring commitment, great research interest, and enjoy teamwork. Unfortunately, we currently have no vacancies for doctoral theses.
