Theses and lab rotation projects may be started in the Barthels lab with the following methodological emphases (and combinations thereof):
- Organic synthesis of RNA-modification inhibitors
- Molecular assay development & drug screenings
- Biomolecular spectroscopy to investigate RNA structure and dynamics
- Development of chemical and computer-based tools for MedChem
Pharmacists, chemists, biochemists, and biologists are welcome as Master, Bachelor, and internship students. You should bring commitment, great research interest, and enjoy teamwork.
